The water turbine is used to drive a dynamo which produces electricity. The unit consists of a plastic impeller housed in a water-resistant case with a clear perspex front so you can view the operation of the turbine. The inlet and outlet tube are provided for water to flow through the turbine. A dynamo is mounted along the impeller shaft that is used to light an LED, which indicates that electrical energy has been produced.
