Product Description
Student Force Table is designed for student labs and classroom demonstrations in college and high school Physics. Students can use it to investigate the way in which the magnitude and direction of a force vector are related to the components of the vector. They can also use it to verify the trigonometric rules for resolving vectors, and for combining the components. The force table is a circular disk with markings at 1° intervals around its rim. It can be leveled using the adjustment screws on its feet. Pulleys can be attached to the rim in any direction. There is a central ring which has several strings attached to it. This ring is the object on which all the forces will act. The strings are to be run over the pulleys. Weights suspended from the strings provide the forces acting on the ring. To be accurate, the strings should pull directly outwards.
